A Midsummer Night’s Dream: Enter the Moonwood
The moon has stopped.
The Moonflower that held the night together has broken, and its six silver petals have scattered through the forest. Four lovers are following paths that refuse to stay where they belong. A group of actors has brought a wooden wall into the woods. A Fairy Queen has fallen in love with an ass.
Puck is trying not to look responsible.
The Moonwood opened at A Walk in the Park. For four weeks, our dogs will explore an enrichment adventure inspired by William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Shakespeare’s forest is a place where people lose their way, mistake one thing for another, follow the wrong person, and wake up unsure whether any of it really happened. We have turned that confusion into changing paths, hidden scents, moving lights, unusual sounds, strange surfaces, secret spaces, and puzzles scattered through the woods.
The dogs do not need to understand Shakespeare. They only need to notice what has changed.
They can follow a scent beneath the Players’ stage, investigate what is hiding behind the wall, search Titania’s bower, track a silver petal through the forest, or stop and study something unfamiliar before choosing what to do next. Every chapter gives them a different piece of the Moonwood to investigate in their own way.
The flower is broken. The lovers are lost. The moon is still waiting.
Follow the silver petal into the Moonwood. Puck has already changed the script.
