Important Policies

• Drop-offs: All daycare and boarding dogs must arrive by 9:00 AM.
• Boarding pick-ups:
  • Morning: 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM (no additional charge).
  • Afternoon: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM (a daycare fee applies based on your membership level).
  • After 6:00 PM: Late pick-ups are available for an additional $2 per hour. The latest pick-up time is 8:45 PM.
  • No pick-ups after 9:00 PM: At this time, we prepare our boarding dogs for bedtime to maintain a calm and quiet environment.

We are thrilled that you are considering our services for your furry friend. We know that leaving your pet in someone else's care can be a daunting task, but rest assured we are dedicated to providing a safe and happy environment for your dog.

We understand that you may have questions about our services and how we operate, and that's why we have a Reservation Specialist ready to chat with you.

To ensure the best possible care for your pet, we require all clients to set up an account through Gingr, our scheduling app. This allows us to streamline the scheduling process and provide you with easy access to all of our services.

Additionally, we require all dogs to have up-to-date vaccine records before they come to our facility. This helps to ensure the health and safety of all our furry guests.

To sign up for our services at A Walk in the Park, potential clients have a couple of options. If you want more information or have questions, you can email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  to schedule a time for a phone consultation. Once you're ready to move forward, we'll need a copy of your dog's vaccine records, which must be administered by a licensed veterinarian. Additionally, we will help you create an account in our scheduling app, called Gingr. If you're comfortable setting up your account, you can do so at awitp.gingrapp.com. If you prefer assistance, we're more than happy to set it up for you.

For daycare services, an evaluation process is required. This includes an owner interview to gather background information on your dog, followed by two 4-hour visits to introduce your dog to our environment, staff, and a select group of other dogs. We carefully observe your dog's responses to create a personality profile. If your dog does well, you can sign up for a membership and start making daycare reservations.

If you're interested in boarding with social sleeping, we recommend having your dog attend daycare for at least a month and then trying one overnight stay to help them get accustomed to sleeping with the other dogs.

For grooming services, we need your vet records and a Gingr account to schedule your dog's appointment.

For training classes, we'll also need vet records and a Gingr account. After discussing your training goals, we'll sign you up for the appropriate service, whether it's a class or individual training. If you're interested in day training, your dog must be signed up for daycare.

If you prefer to only board your dog without daycare, we'll still need vet records and a Gingr account. Afterward, we can schedule a meet and greet to ensure your dog feels comfortable with our staff. We want to make sure your dog is comfortable staying with us and that the staff can safely handle them.
